Ribosome Ribosomes make protein for the cell
Vesicle Used to transport proteins around the cell
Nucleus Use to control the cell and contains the DNA of the cell
Chloroplast Makes glucose, a sugar the cell uses to get energy
Golgi Apparatus Used for preparation of proteins for their jobs in the cell
Cell membrane A cover that is used to protect the cell from outside forces
Cell wall Used to protect the cell from viruses
Cytoskeleton Proteins that are joined together and help the cell move
Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum Used to create and store steroids
Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum Used in the storing of proteins

DNA Contains the genetic information about the cell
Flagellum The tail on bacterial cell used for moving the cell
Capsule The bacterial cell is encased in it
Prokaryotic Cell Cells that are not encased by a membrane and are usually multi celled
Eukaryotic Cell Cells that are surrounded by a membrane
Organelles Parts of a cell with specialized functions
Unicellular Has one cell
Multicellular Has more than one cell
Nuclear Membrane Protects and surrounds the nucleus
Nuclear Envelope Keeps the items inside the Nucleus
Nucleolus Contains the DNA stored within the Nucleous
Cell theory A theory that states All living things are made of cells.
Cells are the basic units of structure and function in living things.
Living cells come only from other living cells.
Central vacuole Used as a storage facility to store nutrients in the cell
