Newton’s Three Law

Term Definition
Newton First Law If an object is in rest or in motion, it will stay in rest or in motion.
Newton Second Law Mass=NetForce/Mass.
Newton Third Law If there is an action there will be a reaction, but in the opposite direction.
Inertia The tendency of an object to resist a change in motion.
Momentum A characteristic of a moving object that is related to the mass and the velocity of the object.
Law of Conservation of Momentum In the absence of outside forces, the total momentum of objects that interact does not change.
